Question Glenwood-Caddo Gap for fishing

Has anybody spent anytime fishing and or camping along The Caddo river? The area around the towns of Glenwood and Caddo Gap in particular. I am wondering if this would be a good place to teach my youngest grandson, 11 years old, to fish and camp. Any input from folks familiar with this area is appreciated.

btoverdrive is on a distinguished road
Absolutely, my sister has lived in Glenwood for over 40 years and I have been there many times. Caddo Gap is about 8 to 10 miles north of Glenwood and it is a perfect float for fishing. The area is beautiful and I was planning on moving there when retired until I decided on Hot Springs Village instead. If you are a golfer, there is a beautiful and challenging public golf course there, Glenwood Country Club, about 2 miles east of town on Hwy 70. If you want adult beverages you will have to bring them with you as Pike county is dry.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the info btoverdrive. Actually ended up changing plans and have reserved a campsite at Lake Daisy State Park. Want to teach the grandson how to use the outdoors and how to take care of it. ie-leave your campsite cleaner than you found it. Catch and release the fish you wont eat at camp. That sort of thing. Thanks again.
