StormCrow, there' have always been private clubs here, like the one at the Days Inn, Diamond City Country Club, VFW, Moose Lodge, Elks Club, etc. Hopefully we'll vote our way into the 21st century in November.

How is the boating on Bull Shoals Lake? How crowded does the lake get and is the water usually calm or choppy? I've been thinking about going out and spending a couple of months this summer. I spent last summer at Norris Lake and enjoyed it but thought I might try another lake this coming summer. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I grew up there and had never heard a thing about private clubs. But then again, no one in my family drinks so that would probably explain a lot.

Sunsoaker, Bull Shoals Lake is about 70 miles long, end to end. Counting all the ins and outs, coves and different arms of the lake, there are about 1000 miles of shoreline. The lake is getting more traffic, but it's generally very peacefull. Marinas are spaced about 12 miles apart the length of the lake and you can always find a place to get away for some privacy. Scenery is great as the Corps will not let anyone build right to the water's edge like so many other lakes. Peope that come here from Table Rock, Grand Lake, or Lake of the Ozarks love it due to the relative serenity. Give it a try, you'll like it.

I don't think anyone said that Harrison is not to far from Branson or Springfield Mo. If you get up that way be sure to go to the Walmart super center for a beer run

You are in for a nice surprise when you fined out what your car license cost

Man I'm ready, I have a few years to go till retirement, but then I'm outa here.....
I really like Arkansas and Missouri too.. As I said in a previous post, we have a couple of horses that's the Wife's thing and I'm a fishing fool. We will come out this spring to her Uncle's in Bella Vista, But I want to look around Harrison and Bull Shoals, maybe over to Norman and West PLains Mo. too.. Looking for some peace and quiet with good fishing and hunting and No Thugs
