So the primaries are basically choices between Republican candidates. If you want to vote in the primaries, you select the Republican ballot.

If his breakdown is in the votes between Bush and Gore, then 68% is very credible. Benton County favored Bush overwhelmingly over Gore. The abortion issue alone would have carried Bush.

thanks DC, we register here by party of course and have to vote in the primaries by party registration. Of course, like many states things are a little confusing; example, the democrats held their caucas on Super Tues while the Republicans will have primaries in June. STrange huh?

They ask you for your party affiliation on the registration form, but answering is optional (it even says so). However, when you vote in primaries you have to choose which party's ballot. They mark you as affiliated with that party at that time. Then if there are run-off's or re-votes, you can only vote if that was the party you originally voted for.

It is amazing how each state is different. Calif works the same as NM, we had to register one party and had to vote that way in the primary or re-register if we wanted to switch over: I think Texas was the same.

If the nominee is Hillary Clinton, definately. If it is Obama, I could see it going either way. He isn't too popular in northern and western sections of the state.

I will agree. I am not thinking he can't win the election but I am not sure he would carry AR.
