We have about an inch of global warming on the ground here in the Village.

Saturday it was 75 degrees.

Another round of winter weather to hit Arkansas mainly the southern half of the state. My area, Texarkana, is expecting up to 5 inches of snow.

yes, it sounds like you are really going to get hit or probably are right now. We have had so little snow this year, just the last week, but the tempts are unbelievably cold. Because of the lack of moisure, I think people seem to forget just how cold it has been and looks like it is going to continue for about another 10 days or so. Please March, bring some days, at least in the 50s and nights in the 40s.

Hope you get your wish, but I've learned not to count Old Man Winter out until April.

Our 2 heaviest snow storms were late March, ie beware the Ides of March. Didn't even know it snowed in Rome, Italy.

Snow started here in west L.R. about 1130 AM but had started in downtown about 1045. We are on the north edge of the major snow crossing south AR so how much we get depends on which way the system wiggles.

I don't know the "average" but it varies from year to year and area to area. Our weather comes from the southwest and it depends on where the Low Pressure passes. It seems that we have more ice than snow in mid and south AR. 2012 was a booger but 2013 wasn't much. I was out and about today and the snow was melting as fast as it hit the streets and sidewalks, but quite a bit on the grass and trees.

Hopefully you get that warm up soon. It's supposed to be in the 50's/60's here by the weekend.

There is another storm coming our way, if it is strong enough, it will get to you Sunday or Monday.
