Here in Memphis the buzzword/catch phrase with all the TV weathercasters this year is "Rollercoaster Weather" - a few days of 30-40 highs and 20-30 lows, then a day or two of 50-60 highs. Wouldn't be surprised to see another serious frozen precipitation event or two before April gets here. We've had a couple of spells of single digit lows, and the last snow event split and went north and south of us. Local schools have used up most of their budgeted snow days.

and to think: I used to love this: 1955: university of Co. I see my first snow storm and think: God made this stuff for me to enjoy: 1981: I am in my 40s, we are living in the Wash DC area and I wait partiently for that first snow: the evening it started both our son and I were almost jumping with joy: just to live someplace with 4 seasons: 1989 living in Dallas. Ok, there isn't much snow here, but it is nice to see a little. That is what 4 seasons is all about: It isn't as much fun as it used to be, just pretty. 2002: NM; south of ABQ: oh shoot, it is snowing today, but it isn't that hard, we can still get to the store, burn the fireplace and enjoy the beauty of the snow; 2015: NWA: God how I hate this stuff. ok, 4 seasons are nice but we might just move to Florida and watch the seasons change via the pretty picutures. Is my age showing?

Was my first time driving in snow. Well, second time. Had zero issues here in Bentonville. AWD is an amazing creature.

Well you called it. Tuesday it will be in the 60s, and on Wednesday the high will be 34 and the temperatures will fall throughout the day. The ice/snow storm on Wednesday could possibly be our worst storm of the season. Don't you love the climate here in the Mid South?

Use to kid about weather forecasters saying they used a dartboard for their predictions.

Today I guess they use a computer dartboard.

Many years ago, LBC,(Long Before Computers) a meteorologist told me that if their forecast for tomorrow was 80% correct they were very happy, and after 24 hours it was just a wild guess. I get a kick out of the present day meteorologists, with their computers, covering their tail by often using "possible" in their forecasts.
