I considered staying there many times but just never did. It's so cute.

An update on our ducks and geese. The goslings are now fully feathered and if they were in the wild would probably be flying, but, one of the adults is missing and that worries me because geese mate for life. The black female duck is missing but I suspect she has moved on elsewhere because she was not always welcome to join the other two. We have really enjoyed watching the goslings grow, and each time we see them we count to make sure they all are still around.

Strawberry moon tonight. Only problem is that it stayed behind the trees until it got so high it lost it's color. The red and green light is a medevac helicopter that went over while I was out there. We are under the flight path of both the Children's and Baptist Hospitals.

Great story: thanks for sharing. We are so lucky to live where we can watch so much wild life: lived most of my life in the city and was doing good to see a baby bird.

Beautiful picture. I didn't live here in 2012. Can you describe the winter? Was it an early winter? More snow/ice than normal I'm assuming?

This was in L.R. so I don't know how wide-spread it was. If I remember correctly it was a layer of sleet first, then about 6" of snow, then freezing rain. But except in sheltered places it was gone in a couple days.
