Flowing a lot better than it was when we were there over the Easter weekend.

I want to go out there someday and explore that road all the way through. So many beautiful spots that are so easy to get to. Did you go on down to Six Finger Falls also?

We figured it would be flowing good with all the flooding rains we've had. I will be going back in the summer for a swim.

We drove down the road for a while but obviously not far enough to see six finger falls. Will catch it next time.

We've had so much bear activity this spring. I know for sure there are 3 around, possibly more. We've probably had 20 sightings. This picture shows one from this morning but there was a second one to the right that I couldn't get in the shot. Is that more than likely a male and female? We've also seen a cinnamon colored young one (very young but always alone) several times this week. Possibly a cub of the female, which could've been the smaller black one not shown in this shot.

^^^That bear looks like he's grown considerably since last summer. He's clearly checking out your picnic table, patio and grill.

Hearing "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" playing in my inner ear:

..."If you go down in the woods today,
You'd better not go alone -
It's lovely down in the woods today,
But safer to stay at home."

(Not always... )

"For every bear that ever there was,
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day
The Teddy bears have their picnic!"

Maybe the Teddies invited their big friends, too.

A little west and south. I'm in Newton County and my property does border Ozark forest land. I'm not sure there is any place where there are no bear but there are some places where it's unlikely you'll see them outside your house.

Well , I got all set up to photo the eclipse then, later, realized I didn't have the filters to cut down the flare. Oh well, I accidently got this photo. Better than nothing after an hour in the sun Didn't know I got it until I uploaded to my computer.
