More great photos. Yes, that does look like Camp Robinson air strip. They have done some rebuilding since I flew in and out of there, but I think that's it.

Great pics BereniceUK!

Ok I got a look at the Drennon-Scott house through this UAFS alumni thing I did.
This was the house of the guy who founded Van Buren. UAFS will open it as a museum next year.

My wife and I spent last week going through Eureka Springs and Hot Springs. We also went backpacking out at the Eagle Rock Loop west of Hot Springs in the Ouachita Forest. Here are a few from our campsite on Eagle Rock Vista.

A couple of more are in the gallery linked to the photos above.

I will add that Arkansas was a very nice state to visit - especially Eureka Springs. I have to admit though that straight roads were more than a welcome sight after leaving.

"Straight", and "level" are two terms they don't bother with in most of this state.

Just be thankful you had roads with blacktop. It can be a shock to people not use to it, or desiring it, to get directed from one place to another, 10 miles away, and it's dirt road all the way.

BTW, super pictures.

How about an Introduction and a First post with Pictures.
My Favorite place, Ozark National Forest.

A view of the Big Piney to large for one picture.

Falling Water after a good rain.

Oldest Bridge in Arkansas

Just a few miles away is this bridge, the Oldest in the State still in use.

White Oak Mountain Overlook,

Haw Creek

Cove Creek.
Hope you all enjoy some pictures from places the typical City Dweller that will never see if your own backyard.

we got rock benches

we got rock wells

we got rock gardens

but we ain't got no "rock people'.

I keep readin' in the news about folks using a "straw man" for stuff.

Ain't never seen that neither.

Moderator cut: orphaned comment - deleted post

Did anyone happen to go to the lighting ceremony at the Capitol tonight? I saw the photos from the Democrat Gazette (I linked a photo from them below), and I wish I'd taken my camera down there and gotten a few shots, it was apparently quite a show.
