Default Lake Greeson/Daisy State Park

In May I will be taking my grandson camping and fishing at Daisy State Park on Lake Greeson. Has anyone fished or camped there? I am wondering if May is early enough that the skeeters wont carry us away and wondering if I should gear up mainly for bass. We will be fishing from the shore. Any advice from my fellow anglers and campers will be appreciated.

Theres some great trout fishing 'round those parts. Parker Creek was a real nice campground (we just passed through it) and it was right next to a great swimming hole. I dont think the skeeters will be too bad in May but I am usually only there during summer and fall so I dont know. Lake Greeson is such a nice place!Good choice!

Hi Capt. Dan,

Have you made your trip to Daisy State Park yet? My husband and I are planning on going next week. Any good info on the area?

My wife and I had one of our first dates there! I don't fish, but the park is very popular with fishermen and boaters alike. It's a pretty park too!

Thanks, we probably won't fish either. We just want some great scenery and may go ATV trail riding as well.

I have not been in many years but it was a beautiful park! We went swimming there all the time. We lived in Glenwood and just drove over. Oh man I miss it!

My sister has lived in Glenwood for about 40 years now, such a nice little town.
