I'm wondering if anyone who lives in the Diamondhead community (Lake Catherine area) could share a bit about the golf membership? I've received the annual resident and resident family membership rates, but am wondering what the true value is that I receive for this payment? I don't see us playing more than once or twice weekly (together), so am wondering if the actual membership is worth it, since this course is open to the public, and we would still have to pay to play. What does the membership buy me?
Would appreciate any insider thoughts on this. We are looking at real estate in this community later this summer. Thanks in advance!

I know nothing about golfing in Diamondhead, but we did look at some houses there two years ago.

In the end we decided against Diamondhead because it's so far to any kind of a grocery store, restaurant, hardware store, etc. the only thing near Diamondhead is a single convenience store/gas station.

We ended up in Hot Springs Village, which in my opinion has Diamondhead beat in every possible way.

Thanks for your reply.

We originally looked in HSV, but are concerned about infastructure issues and HSV's sustainability under the POA as structured. Not sure it is where I want to place my property investment dollars at present.

I've noticed that home prices are rising in HSV lately.

Regardless of what home prices are doing, the POA is having substantial issues and I'm not sure it's the place I want to be, as a result. That's why we are looking elsewhere in the state.
