Here are the towns that we are considering

Heber Springs
Conway
Greenbriar

Pros of these towns?
Cons?
How are the schools?
Shopping?

Thanks

Heber- small town, long way from major shopping and job market. tourist town due to the lake.

Greenbrier-small town, very close to conway and little rock, good schools and job market in surrounding area.

Conway-great schools, large town with traffic problems (town of 50k with traffic system built for a town of 25k people), college town, every chain store/restaurant you want, 30 mins from Little Rock.

Default Towns close to Conway?

Hello. My family is also considering a move to the Conway area. How long a drive is Heber Springs from Conway? What towns are within a 30 minute drive of Conway? I want to be in the country, but close to the city.
Thanks,
Phil

Smile our move

Thanks for the offer of help.

We found a really charming house in Heber Springs. The price is good and we like the town it feels homey.

The drive from Heber is roughly 45 mins I believe. Smaller towns like Vilonia, Morrilton, Atkins, Mayflower, Greenbrior, and severl others are all within 30 mins of Conway. If you want a country setting close to Conway, I would look around Morrilton or Vilonia. Both are towns of 3000+ people, and are within 15 mins from Conway, and 45 mins from Little Rock.

Thumbs up Moving

Phil, Greenbrier is 15 minutes from Conway. Small town with alot of new
homes being built. Great schools also!.... Also Spring Hill is building some
new homes, and they are even closer to Conway.

Conway isn't the country, it's a college town. I don't understand why nobody has mentioned Bryant?

Hey there! We live in Greers Ferry, 30 min from Heber, 45 min or so to Conway, batesville is 45 min. Mt.view is about the same. it is a small lake community. 500-700 kids k-12 in our school. It is growing slowly. Housing is still pretty reasonable. We live across the street from the lake and are asking 225k for our 2300 sq foot newer house. Then lake front is anywhere from 275k low end to 700k high end. off lake is alot cheaper. we have a doctor office, pharmacy, lots of churches, 2 small gro. stores, and 4 banks. Dry county but not that far of a drive. We have private clubs here. very pretty here, but growing. We just got a sonic last year.
