We have scorpions, too. They really do glow under blacklight if you have ever heard of such a thing. It is pretty awesome to have a "pet" that glows.

Allegedly, the bite from our tarantulas are very weak, being likened to a bee sting.

Last fall, when they were active, I sprayed 4 of them over a three day period in the side yard. I took pictures of them all together, put them on Flickr, and e-mailed the link to people I used to know when I worked in Chicagoland.

The response was predictable.

Now, not only do they think we all marry our cousins and don't have "indoor plumbing", but we're infested with vermin also.

Gotta control the transplant flow, dontcha know.
