That is pure silliness. For retailers like Gucci, Armani, and Louis Vuitton to locate in Rogers there would have to be a much higher population with money than there currently is. Yes, NWA has money, but not enough people with it to support retail rivaling Rodeo Drive.

You're not going to want to hear this, but Pulaski county (LR) has over twice the spending power (as of 2007) of Benton and Washington counties combined, and yet Pulaski county doesn't have the spending power to support Rodeo Drive league retailers. NWA doesn't have the regional draw either that a real city has.

I agree. Only one county in Arkansas (Pulaski) has a per capita income above the national average, and our state is in the lower 40s. It doesn't keep me from loving living here, though.

I know more than a couple of folks like that, and we're just a drop in the bucket. When you can buy a $150,000 combine, and write a check for it, I'm thinking that's "spending power". These folks do take vacations and go shopping around the state occasionally. |

Rogers, Bentonville, or Bella Vista are great places to live! I lived in Rogers ten years, and Bentonville for another ten years, and they are both great places to live. The schools were excellent, in my opinion, and it is just an all around great area to live in. Best of luck
