There's actually some truth in that ... Tyson Foods and other poultry companies with headquarters in NWA have done very little if anything to help acclimate the Hispanic and Marshallese people that have moved to NWA to work in the poultry industry.

Wal-Mart does a nice job at providing student scholarships, funding, grants, cash donations and supporting charity causes on the NWA level. This kind of giving back to the community is relatively unheard of from Tyson Foods or the other poultry companies.

I grew up in Fayetteville and lived there until i was 18. I went through all of school there, and never had any problems. Crime of any sort would never be my first on the list of reasons why not to move to Fayetteville. I would be more concerned about if the pace is right for you, too boring, no jobs in your field, etc. If those things work out for you, go enjoy the beautiful scenery of Fay.!!!

Actually, I heard on the news over the weekend about the punks that robbed the wendys in Rogers and one was shot by a cop in the arm. They were all in a gang. But stuff like that is rare. Most of it is confined to graffitti and gang on gang crime.

Sh*t runs down hill. And yes, they take the same approach with the environment as they do with the local communities in NWA.
