This poster was put out by Sasha Baron Cohen to bring people out for his Fort Smith cage fighting scene in the movie "Bruno". Guys showed up for dollar beer and hot chicks and bloody fights, only to find Bruno making out with a dude in the wrestling ring. I think he was trying to portray Arkansas stereotypes. Bruno also tried to kill himself by carbicide (by overdosing on pie) at the Village Inn in Bentonville.

The movie was basically an American Road Movie by a gay Austrian fashion designer.

I think it's funny how this thread is about how certain states like Arkansas and their natives receive undeserved stereotypes, then you say something like this.

It's OK buddy, Texas has many different races in large numbers. Irregardless if whites arent the overall majority, there are still enough towns and neighborhoods where you dont have to intermix too much with those "undesirables"

Texas's diversity is pretty much confined to it's large urban areas, demographically speaking, but this isn't an uncommon thing. The state itself is only "diverse" because it has a high percentage of white people from hispanic or latino descent, as the link posted illustrates. Here is Arkansas, for comparison: Arkansas QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau. Less people of hispanic descent, more that are black. Diverse is a relative term and it's going to vary a lot from one region of a state to another, let alone from one region of the country to another. Hawaii is likely the most "balanced" state as far as diversity goes, but it has a very small black population. At any rate, using information to back up your point is the opposite of ignorance, and the poster never made any claims about the cities specifically, so cool your jets. Both states have their strengths and weaknesses, and I too have spent a lot of time in both .

Ignorance feeds stereotyping. People who think all people that are from a certain state, a certain town are the same, simply have not traveled extensively and base their opinions on something as foolish as TV shows.

I guess it's the same all over.Besides, it could be worse, people might think you were from Mississippi
or Alabama or somewhere else in the south.They too have the same problem.
Have relatives living in Little Rock,and my late great aunts lived in Hot Springs. But they weren't from say Tennesse or some place and migrated west.My great grandparents came to America from Bavaria,Germany in 1882.Due to great grandpa's ill health, they moved to HotSprings in 1911 from Milwaukee.Hot Springs was different back when my dad grew up there in the 1920s and early thirties before my grandparents moved back to Milwaukee during the Depression. All sorts of people came there,like John D.Rockerfeller and gangsters like Al Capone.It was probably more cosmopolitan that most of the state. I think things will change as more outsiders more there from California and the East Coast.
Lots of California folk now in the San Antonio area by me.However when most people think of Texas they think of Austin,Dallas-fortworth and Houston mainly. San Antonio people most know from the Alamo, and Tex -Mex food,more than anything else.Slowly we are getting Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants and even fine dining ones, mainly do to the influce of outsiders.
