We are trying to move back down to Russellville after being up here in PA for 8 1/2 years. We didn't have any kids in school yet b/4 we moved, so I have not personal experience to go by. I hear the Pottsville schools are really great, but in Russellville, which elementary schools would anyone suggest as being the better ones? Also, we are having trouble finding (online anyways) any decent jobs for my husband. I am in interior design so I would have my own business anyways, but he has to have a regular job because I will be starting from scratch with no income to start with. He is currently in engineering in the automotive sector, may be looking into HVAC for a career change since the engineering thing is not very diverse for him (very specific-can't just change from one type of engineering to another), he has a military and a machinist background, worked for his dad/grandpa at the Bailey Machine Shop growing up and for much of his adult life. Does anyone know of any jobs that might bring in around $40,000 a year? He had a great job when we lived there as a tool and die maker at Fasco, but they shut down on us. We really want to come home, but must have the job to come back to. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I'd suggest he come down and secure the job before even considering it. Russellville is wonderful but the job market isn't exactly booming. He ought to try the nuclear plant, I'd bet with a military and engineering background he'd have a better chance.

Can't help you personally on the schools, but my neighbor's kids go to Sequoyah Elementary and love it.

Not many jobs for engineers in Russellville that aren't at the nuke plant.
