We will be in Arkansas next week on a company paid trip to determine whether we would want to live there or not. My husband has a job offer in North Little Rock. We have four school aged children (one in middle school and three in elementary) so we need to focus on search for the best places to live mostly around schools. Conway has stuck out to us.can anyone recommend any specific schools or neighborhoods we should look at? We prefer a more urban setting rather than being in the country. But are willing to compromise for the best public schools. We also have filled out financial aid paperwork for a couple of private schools (PA and LRCA) to see if we could afford that route. Help please! We want to love it since this job offer us a good one.

I can only speak for PA. Our granddaughter went to PA K-12 and received a superb education. In fact, as a result, she received a "full ride" at Hendrix College.

What's your housing budget? And what size house do you want / need?
Do you prefer a country / rural setting, or city / urban?

If your children are going to attend PA or lRCA you surely don't want to live in Conway.

I seem to be very late to this conversation, but she did say she preferred a city setting.

In previous postings she said she is a Christian and living in the Minneapolis area, so I would say the Jacksonville area, or Benton might be to her liking, more likely than Conway. Benton or Cabot seem nice enough, but seem to me to be a somewhat long commute.

Maggie731: You should be returning from your trip by the time I post this, so let us know how it goes, and how willing your husband is to make a commute in L.R. traffic, which can be kinda bad at times.

I will be around for a while since I, too, am moving to AR, God willing
Looking at your past postings, if you are traditional Baptist, avoid Acts 29 Churches, as traditional conservative Baptists consider them Heretical. (As do I.) This isn't the religious area, so if you want more info you can direct message me (by clicking on my name).
