The square footage requirement varies slightly by subdivision. I think most are under 1000-1200 sq ft.

I don't understand not allowing artificial log siding....some of that stuff looks pretty nice.

Modular homes are not usually considered mobile or manufactured homes. They're just built elsewhere and trucked to the site and put together.

Ok, thanks. 1200 would be about as big as I would want to go! I really want to downsize from this 2700 square foot house (which is a monstrosity with someone with fibromyalgia). So, I might would have a little trouble being able to build a home small enough for me.

there is at least one 'real' log house in the Village. I don't know anything about 'fake' log. The modular might be OK.

Isn't the prohibition on log homes only for homes on golf courses?
