It sounds like Hot Springs is going to be investing heavily into mountain biking just like NWA has.

I think it's great! Mountain biking is a great outdoor activity that the whole family can do together and it's great exercise.

Rock Climber, thank-you for this information. We have been working on our house up here in Minnesota so we can get is sold and move down to Arkansas, we are mountain bikers and we had been attracted to Bella Vista but honestly the housing market is too much of a sellers market in Bella Vista for our price range, so just the other day we started looking more into Hot Springs Village, the trade off would be we'd get more house and less mountain biking trails, but now you just gave me a big smile. Thanks.

In addition to the Womble and LOViT, Hot Springs Village just opened some trails at the nature conservancy that are open to mountain bikers - its short, probably about 3-4 miles in total. And they are also working on a loop around Lake Lago, which will be single track, about 3 miles. Plus they have miles of gravel multi-purpose trails and paved golf course paths. There are plenty of biking opportunities in the village

That's one reason I'd like to live there....I love riding a bicycle. Not a mountain bike, though....I wonder if they will also allow just "ramblin' along" bikers on the mountain bike trails?

Also, this is something I've wondered for a while....are the "gravel multi-purpose trails and paved golf course paths" also open to bicycles?

I think the only trails that you can't bike on are DeSoto Nature, DeSoto Spillway, the rest you can bike, though I have never seen a bike on Cedar Creek or Beaver Dam. You can ride any type of bike that you want, but you might get a lot of flat tires, depending on what type of tires you have on your bike. There are also 3 paved multipurpose cart/bike routes - Santa Maria, Barcelona, Carmona

As far as the golf paths, I do not think they advertise it, but I don't think they would kick you off either. You would just need to be aware of the golfers and not impact them. I generally see bikes on the paths towards the end of the day.
