Hello!

Recently, I bought a car for $1200 in cash from a friend of mine who was just moving back to Texas. Her name is on the bill of sale, but she didn't have the title to the car as she bought it from a friend of hers who had lost it. Her name is on the bill of sale, but the original titleholders' name is not. She has tried multiple times to get a hold of the original titleholder, but with no answer. All of the tags and license plates for the car we bought are in her name, and she has a bonded title that the original titleholder signed. With that information, can we file for a bonded title on the car without needing the original titleholder's name on the bill of sale?

Amy, none of that sounds good. I'd gather up all the papers available, go to the local revenue office, and say; "help, please!".
