I was just at Walmart in Ash Flat and struck up a conversation with an elderly widow from Fulton County.

She said they lived in California during their working years and retired to rural Fulton County upon retirement.

She said both her and her deceased husband liked it here.
( He only got to enjoy 4 years before passing away )

No, I have excellent internet provided by Centurylink.

Fulton County isn't ...way out in the sticks.

The major east/west highway thru north Arkansas ( 62/412) goes thru Salem.

"No, I have excellent internet provided by Centurylink"....entirely dependent on the particular circumstances David. The place shown in the ad was 1/2 mile from blacktop, which could impact service delivery. High speed internet service via a Telco like Centurylink has distance/infrastructure limitations.

We have not yet finalized our plans, we are waiting to see if I am going to lose my job here, if and when I do, and it might be real soon, we plan to fix up and sell our place here while deciding where to move. We have also looked at Idaho, and Tennessee, but I think Arkansas might have the mildest winters.

I figure it will take us 2-3 months to fix up our place here, sell it, and move. It's going to be an experience, since we are on a shoestring budget.

Are there commercial Chicken farms in Fulton County? just curious

God Bless. Rob

I've been on that Old Sturkie Rd once. Very scenic area.

There is a new chicken farm that started up in the past year. It has (8) 600ft chicken barns.
It is located about hallway between Ash Flat and Salem on 62/412 near Agnos.

Since Peco started a new chicken processing plant in Pocahontas a year ago, 600 new chicken barns have been/will be built within a 60 mile radius of Pocahontas.

However, the one I mentioned is a safe distance from you.

LuvArkansas, it looks like the Craigslist add is no longer posted. I guess they sold? Or maybe withdrew it. I was thinking of looking up the owner to chat. Best Rob
