Hello,
I am considering moving to Clarksville, AR area. I have a few job interviews in and around the area. I was just wanted some feedback. I currently live in New York but did grow up in a small midwestern town. I didn't know how easy it is for a single person (without kids) to live in this area. If you could tell me about the area - anything you would like to share, I would appreciate feedback. Thanks! |

I wouldn't move to Clarksville if you're just getting out of New York.
It's nice if you're wanting to settle down, but I think you're going to be miserable. Especially as a single northerner. |

If you can go "around the area", I'd look more toward Russellville - but to be honest, a single person is not going to find much to do there either. I think either spot could be some serious culture shock for you unless you are really prepared to scale back and settle way down, or unless you come from a very tiny town in New York state. If 1980 has anything to do with the year of your birth, I'd say keep looking.

Although I'm from the middle of nowhere Mississippi, so anywhere over about 7,000 people is too much. I guess we should add "unless you're from a podunk little place and get more enjoyment out of watching animals and sitting on a porch than you do from culture and art"....haha, if that's true, then Clarksville is the place to be. Although I really didn't like Clarksville either way. |
