yes, the 60s have been identified quite a few years ago as the late middle age stage. And yes, we do live longer and healthier than our parents. I do come from a family that has a relatively long life expectancy, especially on my dad's side. He lived to be 93 and remained very active until the last year of his life, his mom died at 92 and his only sister lived to be in her mid 80s. Hubbys moms side is the same: she came from a family of 7 kids, all but one lived into their late 80s and she died at 97. Heredity plays a big part, so does better diagnoses availability, new drugs and overall knowledge of how to stay healthy.

You know you are getting old when the retailer stops asking if you qualify for their "senior discount" and all your medical doctor specialists have retired, or died . I'm tired of training these new, young, inexperienced medical specialists

I'm glad I asked the question as my suspicion proved out that there was a healthy mix including young ins and a few older than the rocks they live among .

I'm also bored and depressed thinking how long it will be before I return to my beloved Yellville. DW wants to check out Wisconsin next year. All I can say is Brrrrrr and better watch my wallet .

Wisconsin! My "Uncle" sent me to Fort McCoy one time for special training and all over the Post were red and blue pipes sticking about three feet above the ground. I finally got up the nerve to ask what they were and was told they marked gas and water shut-off valves so they could be found in the winter snow. It's interesting country but keep in mind that the ice ages swept it clean so it is mostly flat land with a few interesting rock formations and scrubbed out "valleys". This old country boy from the Ouachita Mountains did find it interesting though.

LOL. I'm in Seattle, but i'm posting here. You left out younger age groups and i know for a fact, that many many oeople on here are Millennials, and other age groups that u left out.

Wisconsin might be a wonderful place to live, but there are a heck of a lot of people living here in NWA that were raised in Wisconsin. Heck the high here yesterday was in the 30s and it was cold, don't think any further north would be my choice for winters.

Yes, there is a great mixture of ages here on CD and in the state. Our granddaughter, who was a college senior at the time is responsible for our family being here. She and her husband and her slightly older sister and her family now live here.

Go to the driftless country in southwestern Wisconsin. The landscape is strikingly similar to that of the Ozarks. It also extends into portions of southeastern Minnesota. We spent a lot of time in that area this year for just that reason, as I was lamenting moving too far away from Arkansas to be able to visit regularly.

I don't know if you're still able to edit your poll, but if so you could just broaden the age ranges so that everyone could be counted.

I don't see a way to edit the poll. Would need to start over and I doubt the new thread would get the same attention. I did learn a bit about polls with the exercise.

I really don't want Wisconsin in my life. However, I need to be inclusive of other ideas
