Tickets not required
Just FYI - there is no cost to attend anything at the festival. If you want to enjoy a steak with all the trimmings you do have to have a ticket for that. The concert is free but If you are a CM fan especially A Kenny Chesney fan I also recommend trying to get paid reserved seating tickets. Seating for the rest is bring you own.
I recommend getting steak tickets if you stay all day - it is a real letdown when 4 to 5000 other folks go to eat and you are not one of them. Still there is plenty of other food, from crayfish to alligator, at the food court.
The steak serving alone is amazing - now there is some standing in line and it can be warm in May - and there is not always a perfect place to sit at a table to eat for all 5,000 folks so it can take a little patience and a good frame of mind.
For the very best experience- spend the money - see everything early - get in a serving line (one that is not in the sun) early so you get a place to sit to eat and then go to your reserved seat for the winner announcements and a great concert.
You will be tired when you get home you will be glad you came, especially if you get a steak from the team that wins the World's Championship.
ONE MORE NOTE FOR THE OUTDOOR COOKS - IT IS WORTH THE TRIP JUST TO SEE THE AMAZING ASSORTMENT OF COOKING RIGS - AND THE SHOWMANSHIP THEY PROVIDE. AND IT IS ALL RIGHT HERE IN ARKANSAS.

I really like getting inside info from someone who's been there. I'm not one who can stand in the sun for long unless there's a cool breeze blowin'. Things like that are good to know and I appreciate it.

BIGGG OOPS! Mark Chesnutt - not K.Chesney
I have to correct what I now understand is a HUGE (or at least pretty big) mistake.
THE FEATURED PREFORMER IS MARK CHESTNUTT - NOT KENNEY CHESNEY.
SORRY FOR THE INCORRECT INFO - I AM NOT THE MOST ARDENT CM FAN. MARK PROBABLY DOES NOT THINK THERE IS MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE TWO BUT I UNDERSTAND SOME FOLKS DO.

Mark Chestnutt puts on a WONDERFUL show...saw him in Texas last year. If you like the real country music it will be a great night.
