Yes, Wonderful people of Arkansas I believe I have found a house!
It's near the Jockey Lawn Club in Hot Springs. Your input about this area is greatly appreciated.

That's the Oaklawn Jockey Club...which is the race track. Nice area of older homes and not far from Central Avenue. SOUNDS GOOOOD!!!

If you can give me the street address, I can drive by and give it a once over. To make sure the neighborhood is safe. That's NUMBER ONE!!!!

Hey, CESpeed, if you ever find the time, research the history of Hot Springs, it's absolutely fascinating. From the old time baths, through the corrupt politicians when Hot Springs became the gambling and night club capital of the south, to the decline in the late 60's when the clubs were all shut down.

It had to re-form itself.

Arkansas PBS had a fantastic documentary about it a while back, you might want to google it and see if it's coming on again.

It's worth the watch. A lot of great history in that town.

There were shoot outs in the streets. The Wax Museum on Central Avenue used to be The Southern Club....where Al Capone would go. Hubby delivered mail there in the sixties while it was still a gambling house. RogMar is correct; this town is so full of history that it amazes us all that we're still here....especially after the fire!!

Fire! When? Man, a love history. And I'm going to love living in a place with a rich history that they embrace in such a positive spirit!
