I think Getmeout meant to say it is a very, very small town buried in the hills of Arkansas...from what I remember there isn't a lot to tell. "Podunk" is slang for "small town with nothing to make it stand out". The actual area is very beautiful, though. Hopefully someone will come along with a little more information for you.

Well thanks what advice you have given me. My aunt was a very eccentric lady and I know she lived in a house that barely held together. I know she always complained about the heat. Not much I even remember about her.

Some folks prefer podunk... I live in Newton Co which is next to Carroll Co. I am originally from Houston Tx. I like to drive out to Green Forest on occasions for the scenic tours. There is some growth in Green Forest due to the arrival of Tyson's.

Per the Census, Green Forest has about 2700 people, more than 900 of whom are Hispanic. So, in summary, it's a small town with a diverse population.
