several members of my family moved to greenwood last year from calif...altogether we have increased the greenwood population by 14. We live in four seperate houses. I nor anyone else has ever felt unwelcomed, or unwanted from anyone here. We have found the people to be kind, friendly, and caring. I have not joined a church, or ever been made to feel that I should... Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. We love it here. I have grandchildren in the elementary school .... I feel that they are getting a much better education here. Academics, and the arts are very important.
So, if this is where you want to live, I know that you will be welcomed...

I lived in So. and NO. Ca for years and then moved to Fort Smith, AR as a single mother alone. It was a wonderful move for me and I did well, lived there for 6 years and then tried to go back to no. ca. I hate it here, and am going back home!! Schools are terrible, very expensive to live, everyone is rude and in a hurry! I loved Fort Smith, and owned 3 different homes while I was there. I do agree that the north side is not a place to live, but all cities have their bad parts. There is a fun night life in historic downtown fort smith, and it is a beautiful area. It is centrally located for fun things to do. I loved it there and I am going back!
