My husband and I will be moving SOON due to a job relocation. While he will work out of HS, we are open to the surrounding areas to get the most for our money. We are looking to spend from the $130s-190s, newer construction, hopefully no more than a 15 min commute. No condos. Any help appreciated. Also, any recommendations for Baptist churches? Thanks.

If the drive time requirement is 15 minutes, its going to really matter where his office is located before you pick out potential neighborhoods.

You won't have any problems finding what you need if you Google "Hot Springs Real Estate", and enter your requirements; you'll get some idea of what's available and where. Use Google Earth also to pinpoint locations. Baptist churches are everywhere. Large and small, country-city. The largest one is directly across Central Avenue from the race track.
Hope you find what you're looking for. |

We are going to HS this week, so I will have a chance to meet with some realtors and hopefully get some ideas. I was just wondering if there were any areas surrounding HS that anyone would definitely recommend. Thanks for the help.

Hot Springs Village is a gated community not far from Hot Springs (north, off of scenic Hwy. 7), but I'm not sure about 15 minutes, I'm thinking it may be more. Someone else could help you out with that. But it's a nice place, a little town to itself, with churches, community center, pools, tennis courts, golf, etc. For 130K-190K, you could get a nice place. They have a website (Hot Springs Village, Arkansas - Real Estate Listings and Golf Information) where you can read about it and they even have a section of homes for sale with pretty good pictures, some with 360 degree tours. Not sure about the newer construction requirement.
Hope you find something quickly! |

Oh, and I was also going to say, the reason the person said that about it being important to know where your husband's office is located is because Hot Springs is a really spread-out place.

Found a site that said HSV is 20 minutes from downtown HS.

Which is probably like 35 from Lake Hamilton's main channel. Part of the problem with HSV is that most of the shopping and dining that's not in downtown is further up Central by the lake.

I would look in the areas near the Country Club, especially if you have kids because Lakeside School district is great.
