Alaska? Not for as long as you think:

Arkansas didn't change. The world changed and Arkansas didn't go insane like the rest of the world.

Is it coincidence that most people who live in more rural/ remote areas, who are more self sufficient, are almost ALWAYS conservative. If you look at parts of Arkansas that are in that category, it's few and far between to come across a liberal person.

There are some of us who have a name for the 'liberal' or 'leftist' mindset: we call it a 'hive' or 'collectivist' mindset. Since they don't have any original thoughts, just parroting progressive talking points that are warmed over Socialist ideas, they can't stand to be out on their own.

Hive Mind:

Hive Minds at work:

Of course, almost as soon as we began calling them that, they stamped their little foot and cried:
'I'm not a hive mind, you're a hive mind.'
Kinda like the old 'I'm rubber and your glue' counter attack.
They did the same thing when we identified them as snowflakes.
Snowflakes when they meet reality (most are still quoting Demoncrat talking points.)
Of course, the snowflakes removed the best one, where the clinton supporter was screaming and crying:
"somebody better ####### fix this, or I'm gonna kill myself"

OOOOhhh, they didn't remove it (just made it impossible to search for).

Since the language of the Demoncrats is a bit "colorful"
link is available by DM.

(Note to self: link filed under "Day 9")

I forgot about that blue streak that runs from W. Memphis down thru Marianna and West Helena--down to Greenville Misssissippi. Than that streak turns east and goes right down Hwy 82 thru Alabama (Montgomery) and straight east to Macon, GA. The blue streak ends in Georgetown, SC--on the coast. Its such a sad streak where fine people are getting nothing for their votes.

That seems to be about how it happened. As for AR and turning, we all have to remember, a majority of states go through the color change from time to time: Even look at CA since the Reagan days.

the good news for many of us, AR isn't likely going to switch in the near future or for that matter, probably many years.

That area is predominantly black though. For the most part, they aren't really leftists/liberals; they're just country black folks who vote Democrat.

OP should consider Alabama as well.

As a liberal in Northwest Arkansas, I can assure you I don't parrot Progressive talking points, I am not a Socialist, I have no problem being out on my own. What I do have a problem with is people bashing other people simply because they have a different perspective.

That's been happening since Trump was elected. Welcome to the republican party.

Frankly, it's been happening for decades. People whose arguments are insufficient to support their positions resort to denigrating their opponents. And I would point out that President Trump is the master of personal insults. Which some of his supporters seem to find absolutely heroic.
