Any company that supports Wal-Mart (HP, IBM, Symbol, etc.) will have local offices. Whether they're hiring programmers or not is another question.

Wal-Mart and vendor companies are very high-pressure jobs, especially in IT. Say goodbye to any personal life if you go to work for Wal-Mart ISD (and if you work for a WM Vendor, you DO work for Wal-Mart! That's why the pay is higher - you have to jump when WM says so). The burn-out rate is very high.
The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville is hiring IT professionals. Pay may not be as high, but the benefits are great, and the burn-out rate is much lower. Plus, the job security is a lot better. You can view all open positions at
