And they don't have a microwave? Or potatoes to nuke in the first place. Good grief, potatoes are cheap and you buy them in 50 lb bags when I ran a restaurant.

Beats me.
I'm not picky enough to pay much attention to it. I just nod and take the french fries.
Better than going to Meachum's where they turned the place into Chicago south.

I usually shoot at my place, Jeep. However, I understand that the state has ranges close by. One is supposed to be over in Cushman, and another down toward Blanchard Springs somewhere.
I've been meaning to check them out as I need a 100 yard *level* range to fine-tune a couple of scopes. Level ground out here is at a premium. I do long-range precision shooting sometimes (benchrest), and 1/4 inch at 100 yards is everything.
All my handgun stuff I do here, target on a dead tree stuff. If you just want to crank some off, you're more than welcome to come over here, I'm just south of Myron off 56.
OK.....a quick flick of the googlefinger rendered this on the state ranges:
Firing Ranges
I see one in Sylamore, which would be down 9 south toward Blanchard Springs (scenic drive), but I don't see the one at Cushman yet, which a buddy of mine told me he shot at.

One more question, our cottage in cherokee village ,which i've never seen , is on geronimo fairly close to lake. I'm wondering, as I work for an online trading house and require excellent Internet, where would I go to get the best Internet from that location?
thanks again.

Cherokee Village
Actually Cherokee Village is in the Ozark Mountains, However it is the lower elevation, commonly known as the foot hills. you'll start to get in the higher elevations as you head west into Yellville and Harrison. Cherokee Village is a beautiful area with 7 lakes, 2 golf coarse's and many other activities to do. Cherokee Village is it's own city, with their own city hall, water dept. and their own police dept.. I would suggest that you do a google search on Cherokee Village Moderator cut: edit and you'll find hundreds of pictures of the area..I own a vaction home in CV and I love the area and I go their as often as I can..

It is a real nice community. Moderator cut: edit Areas differ a lot, and you need to look at the neighborhood. CV itself is really nice. You do want to look for yourself, but I think you'll like it if your lot is in a nice part.

it continues to baffle me that people would buy lots and houses sight unseen. you are asking for trouble and taking a big risk, in my opinion, and that goes for anywhere in the country, not just cv or arkansas. quality wins out everytime, and how do you know if you have quality property if you have never seen it yourself, or if a surrogate on your behalf who does knows what to look for, hasn't seen it either? cv is beautiful and a great place to live or visit, indeed, but people please, do your homework before you spend your dollars foolishly and recklessly.
