I live in Paragould. You can buy homes in the 50K price range. But, in town that price range is not in the better areas of the city. You should expect to pay 100K for an average 3 BR 2 Bath on a reasonably sized lot.
If you want to live in the county you can find some nice homes in the 50K range but you have higher utility rates as county is on a co-op.
Paragould is continually growing, both in population and size. The majority of businesses are industrial which makes up the base of our labor force. Agricultural is also predominate.
Paragould is NOT flat. It sits on Crowley's Ridge. Lower lying sections of the town have flooded in the past (at least 10 years ago) but due to an extensive effort by the Corp. of Engineers and the city a large drainage system (8 mile creek which is now the Francis Bland Floodway) has been and continues to be improved upon.
It does get humid here, we have a mosquito control program but we do still have some pests.
