Ilove Prescott is on a distinguished road
I live in Prescott but shop in Hope weekly...I know you said you were not moving to Hope but I wanted to defend Hope...Hope is a very nice town as with any other towns there is crime but as of yet it has never touched me and I've lived here 41 years with 3 sons...Maybe the other person who replied with such negative feedback about Hope is into stuff he or she shouldn't be...The crime rate is nothing like bigger towns...Hope has a lot to offer...Good luck on your move & job search...In the future don't believe everyone who leaves you negative feedback about a town, go to the town and visit it for a few days to get a feel for it...Every town has crime talk to the police see what they say...

Default Suggestion To Bobgurl

Google Albemarle Corporation - Main site has career opportuniities for for chemist, etc world wide, Including Magnolia, Arkansas, which I suggest you check out.
Just google magnolia arkansas to find the Chamber of Commerce web site which encompases the city web site and the economic Development web site and much more.
If your prelimary checking creates an interest post back any questions you may have.

And you're not moving here was defenitely a blessing for you and your family. If you do have a chance to move to Arkansas in the future, I would suggest the northern parts of central Arkansas (Conway, Heber Springs, Searcy, or Cabot) or to northwest Arkansas. Any other areas will be closed-minded people to deal with or no recreation opportunities or high crime rates for the population amounts.

something exciting, you can always go out to the Tyson plant and watch the illegal aliens cut the heads off thousands of chickens each day. The biggest traffic jams in town are caused by the tractor trailer loads of chickens making their sad one-way trip as the trucks converge on the Tyson facility.---- If you know that Tyson hires illegal aliens Then you and everyone that lives in Hope and the area needs to get on the phone and start reporting this crime.

Default Guess I got lucky

I moved here just outside of Nashville AR a little over 4 years ago from Vegas. I LOVE it. Everyone is so friendly, helpful if you need something their right there. Just all really nice neighbors. I also like the slower pace of living. I feel this is a wonderful state to retire in, with the cost of homes so practical it's nice weather, if you can stand humidity, and I've never been concerned with a tornado. Haven't seen one yet, or even close to one.

I do agree that the Dr's. are terrible, Little Rock/ Houston is the only place to go for good medical. The pay is low here, AR is a depressed state.

Hope could sure use some cleaning up, but there are lot's of expensive, beautiful homes/ ranches there also. In the town it's self, that's another story.
I just had a Realtor do absolute nothing for the sale of our ranch so I threatened him with going to the Real Estate Board of AR and finally got rid of him, and fast. We need to move back out west to be closer to my family with age creeping up on my Mother I feel the need to be closer to her.
I do love AR and wish I could stay here, but there comes a time when you have to go if your not a lifer here with your family around close by.
