Sam's club?
I just moved east of Mountain Home recently. (love it!)
I know there is a Sam's club in Jonesboro. Would there be another one closer than that? Thanks.

your welcome..my dad lived at Mountain Home for about ten years, but two weeks ago was the first time we had been in the "new" supercenter there. I wouldnt be surprised if they dont build a Sams Club there before to long, based on how busy the supercenter was.

That would be great. Sam's has some good deals. I just don't know if it's worth driving 2 hours to get there.

I follow the "one day" concept.
That is, the wife and I make a list of what we want to do in any one place, and wait until the list is long enough to justify the trip.
Today, we shall go to Thayer for those things that cannot be purchased here, so I checked the Wallace & Owens flyer for groceries there, and found some very good sale items, and then we'll check out local cuisine.
So basically, it makes the drive more worth it, and fun.
I've done the same going to Jonesboro. There is not a lack of things to do there, and I have about as far to go as you do.
It's not hard to "load up" at Sam's, then run over to someplace like Ron's Catfish Buffet ("62 feet of all you can eat") (Yes, they *really* say that), and do a little sightseeing/shopping downtown.
When it's a 30 minute minimum drive to get anywhere, one chooses their trips carefully.
Like you, I wish there were more Sam's around.

What I do is similar to Rogmar... Plan a day and burn the time doing the most you can. Chalk it up as a whole day being shot. For me, I do NOT get out much and usually excersize my neck looking at all the scenery to a point of making my neck sore! You'll know its me too... I'm like the dog riding with his nose out the window.
The nice thing about Sams is they will ship directly to you if you know what you want. Usually TP, rags, detergents, solvents, etc...non-food items can be shipped directly to you...let them burn the gas instead of you..hehehe

Thanks guys for the advise. That sounds like a plan. A day trip to Jonesboro to shop, eat at the buffet (which sounds good, btw) and site see. Thanks for the laugh, Horseshoe. Too funny!
