I like Newton County because of the position on the Buffalo River and that most of it is still wild. I like Izard County because that's where I bought a home.

About 45 minutes actually. 15 minutes to make up my mind and 30 minutes to actually do it. Insomnia is a great motivator.

I like Baxter because it has Bull Shoals and Norfork. I haven't seen Newton yet but will one of these days.

I'm not sure what counties they are in, but Mt Nebo and Petit Jean Mountain are certainly worth a day trip. They are near Dardanelle. Mt. Nebo may be in Yell County.

Anyone know why Yell County has a spear tip shape pointing NE? Seems like a lot of land that could have been Conway or Pope County more easily.
