I went there a few months back. It was a place that would be ok to camp in for a day or two but I would not move there. I do not think home values go up much either. Moderator cut: offensive

I, personally, find Murfreesboro to be a great place! It's in a beautiful location with alot of outdoor activities especially on Lake Greeson. I've met some real nice folks over there and quite frankly wouldn't mind living there! They have some great food too around there.

Well, I would just like to say that I moved to Murfreesboro from Little Rock with my family when I was thirteen years old. I was terribly offended by the comments of LilMamaJ. While Murfreesboro is a very small town, it is not a hole in the ground infested by pregnant 16 year olds standing bare foot in their front yard drinking a beer and smoking some crack. I felt blessed that my parents moved me from Little Rock to give me a safer life in a small town, and I will tell you that there is no doubt in my mind that I am a better person for it. The small town atmosphere allowed me to become more outgoing and develop a better sense of self than I would have had growing up in a larger city where I had to conform just to fit into some social clique to be accepted. As far as the comment about few people who have a concern for higher education, I am a college graduate and there are few people that I graduated with that did not go on to persue a college education. I admit that there is not a lot of opportunity for advancement in this town, but if you are a person who is looking for a place you can live without having to worry about your doors being locked all the time or going outside alone after dark then Murfreesboro is just that place. Please do not listen to the negative attitude presented by some people in previous comments. I love my home and I am proud to say I am a successful product of it.
