Understood.
I tend to look at things regionally, and since most of the people in this region do not live in the central city (only one-third do), I always revert to 'Central Arkansas' as a catch-all.
But your point is well-taken. We should definitely be mindful that people from all over the place read these threads looking for information.

Whole Hog, which is much more Memphis, is probably the best around here. There's a place on 65 in Greenbrier that's good, too.
Now, where Central Arkansas gets it right is catfish. The catfish over here is out of this world. I love Grampa's, **** of the Walk, Catfish City, and Payton Creek on Hwy 64 outside Conway. All are excellent.

I don't remember the souce at Sims being mustard based. I do remember the Whole Hog having a mustard based sauce. Back in LR, I was a BBQ sandwich eater but now I've moved to dry ribs with a good rub on them. I always thought that Sims had great food. Everyone on my team at Alltel would drive from the Campus by the river to Sims.
As for catfish, I hope the Catfish Hole is still there. It was just past Grampa's in NLR. It was a nice, family run place with not only great food but really nice people running it.

I'm not too big on catfish but there's a mighty good buffet up on Conway just down the street from Hastings. Can't remember the name of it though.

BTW, it's 'Central Arkansas' because we're referring to more than just Little Rock proper. And yes, in Tennessee, there are frequent references to 'Middle Tennessee' to refer to Nashville and the many counties surrounding it.
Edited to add: Apparently, you can't use the word '****' on this forum.

I like Sim's and find Memphis BBQ overrated (My favorite is KC) but I have to agree, Sim's sauce is thin and more of a vinegar-based but definitely with a bit of mustard to it. It's more of a Carolina style sauce.
Grampa's Catfish is the best I've had, anywhere, period.

I found Smokin' in Style BBQ on Albert Pike in Hot Springs to be really extraordinary. Better than McClard's, which I also like.

For great Mexican food, check out Faby's. They have two locations in Conway. One off of Dave Ward and one in downtown Conway. Sometime we go twice in one week. Their tortilla soup and nachos are fab.

If you ever eat at the original Doe's in Greenville and have a steak cooked by Little Doe himself, you will know that the LR restaurant doesn't deserve to use the Doe's name.
