Default Arkansas Fishing stories and stuff

i didnt wanna hijack a thread and get to far off topic, so i figured i would start a new one about fishing in AR.

A zebco isnt much good for catching a 60lb catfish...they either break the line or pull my pole in (okay maybe it was only a 5 lb fish that pulled my line in) but its okay to stretch the truth when it comes to fish aint it?

Well I have a story about the fisherman of Arkansas,
Last May, we are out visiting the Wife's Uncle in Bella Vista, He has my late FIL's Nitro Bassboat, but he's not much on freshwater fishing. So one the way to Beaver LAke we stop by the bait shop and I notice a Bassboat in the Parking lot. We walk in I look around and see the bassfisherman, I just walk right up to him and say, " I was wondering if you could help me out, I'm from California, and I am on my way to go fish Beaver lake, I've never even seen it before, so any help would be appreciated" Well this guy shows me what lures have been good there latley then takes out a Lake Map and show's me some of his spots... Very Nice Arky Bass Man he was.

Hey I think this is going to be a very good thread. I want to get there all the sooner now. Thanks for the photos bass man. Here is a little torture site for those on the outside like me:

Photo of Arkansas - Arkansas Images - Arkansas Photos

I've drooled over the lakes and rivers here so much it is a wonder they haven't banned me for ban width over use.

Marked Tree is only a couple of counties over from my place in Fulton County so I may have to check this place out...
