Westboro Baptist Church coming to Arkansas
Fred Phelps and his clan of hate will be picketing the National Conference of Editorial Writers at the Peabody hotel in Little Rock from Sept 17-20th. They will also make a stop outside Little Rock Air Force Base on the 19th.

Those inbred idiots were just here a few weeks ago. They protested at Bill Gwatney's funeral in LR...just a few hours after protesting at Isaac Hayes' funeral in Memphis.
Morons.

Wow... I knew this group of morons was out in la la land, but reading those signs I get a new appreciation for just how demented they really are. They protested at the funeral of a soldier in the MD town we were living in and then went back there about a month or so ago to protest at the funeral of a couple of teenagers killed in a car wreck, claiming God was visiting His judgement against the state of MD for filing an injunction against them or something like that. Do they like anyone but themselves??? THIS is a hate group and should be treated thusly.

Wish I had the time to go protest them and dog their every movement. But unfortunately for justice, unlike them, I have a job and a real life to live. These people are on the Midnight Express to violence. It's only a matter of time, I think.

These twats were picketing funerals of students who had been shot to death at NIU earlier this year. One of the towns was a bit smaller and determined not to allow them accessibility to the area, so law enforcement barricaded it off in order to prevent the "angry monkeys" from messing with the funeral procession and people attending. They had also been on campus prior to this but t'was sort of pointless, since the campus was closed at the time of their antics.

I am one of those so-called "religious fanatics" that Arkansas is supposedly so full of....God, and the salvation he has given me, is the most important thing in my life and I'm not ashamed of that. But I am embarrassed by this group's behavior.
Unfortunately, in order for everyone to be able to keep their right to protest what they feel is wrong, these people have to be allowed to say what they believe.

I firmly believe in the freedom of speech. But picketing and protesting the funerals of innocent individuals for the advancement of a political agenda (yes I view what they are doing more politically motivated than faith motivated) is wholly out of line with the freedoms granted to us. They may peaceably assemble within the laws of our nation in the appropriate places. Funerals are private affairs and not the venue for protest.

Yes, true.....that is VERY bad manners.
Btw, anyone know what IEDs are? One of the signs says thank God for them.
