Wow I got lost! Had to check up on things. And not they yall ask me but I am going to put my two cents in too. I personally like small towns less people less traffic! Plus in a small town people know you. They say"hey there is good ol' Billy Bob. Ain't seen you in a while. How is the wife and kids?" and in a big town or city you are doing good to get someone to say hi! How are you? It seems more personal and nice in smaller areas.

Oh believe me, I know. When I finally get to Chicago, I'm ditching my car and taking the train.

I'd also prefer to live rurally but there isn't a lot of work for engineers in smaller towns and plus both my son and I play ice hockey and there aren't a lot of rinks in rural Arkansas.

That's exactly why I like larger cities, I don't have to worry as much about running into someone I know or knew in the past. I know I'm weird to many of you, but I hate running into people I know. You have to stop and share niceities, small-talk, and all that jazz which I'd much prefer not do. I also hate being recognized by people who think they know me, or who remember me but I don't remember them, and want to stop and talk. It doesn't happen TOO often, though, that I don't remember someone. When it comes to faces, I have a photographic memory. I almost never forget a face, or details about one. So don't ever commit a crime near me, or else you're screwed.

I know what you mean. Again, I work in magnolia, Arkansas, 21 miles away. I know a lot of people there. When we have to go buy groceries, we usually go to Minden, Louisiana, 33 miles away. If we go to Magnolia, I spend all my time talking to people and my wife gets to shop too long.

See? Small-talk can lead to financial problems, marriage problems, etc. Haha...

And for the record, whenever we have to go to Wal-Mart, we prefer the Minden store because it's not nearly as bad as the next-closest store, which is on Airline Drive in Bossier City! That place is a NIGHTMARE.

I'm currently residing in a suburb of Scranton, PA called Pittston. In June I'll be moving to Northern Virginia, more specifically the Reston/Herndon area. Someday I'd like to visit Arkansas.
