I'm already hearing this is a big loss to the Houston program from my friends down there, so that has to be a good thing. As with everything else, only time will tell.

Me too, I figured they would. I know little about him, but he has to be better than what we had before.

Anyone else see the Fayetteville family on the Great American Light Fight on ABC last night? Thought that was pretty cool but could have done without the inserted banjo music.

UA is expected to announce that Chad Morris, currently at SMU, will be the next Razorbacks head football coach....possibly as early as today. Mike Norvell has signed an extension to stay at Memphis.

Got a look at Chad and the Mustangs when we lived in DFW. He's a good football coach and knows Texas up and down, having coached high school ball there for 16 years before moving on to the college ranks. The Hogs have to have a guy who can recruit Texas well, and Morris can do that. He took over a sorry SMU team and went from 2 wins to 7 in 3 seasons. Morris is known for his explosive offenses, and there's even a rumor that he's already been in contact with Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables in an effort to bring him in for the same spot at Arkansas. The two coached together previously at Clemson. If they landed Morris and Venables it would be an absolute home run for the program.

Stay tuned.....Woo Pig!

I'm happy with the hire. A regional guy on the upswing just coming into the prime of his career. From what I read he was almost universally recommended to Arkansas from the counsel they sought. Although I know many were hoping for a more established name, I really have nothing negative to say about this hire. I'm excited and enthusiastic about Arkansas football once again! Let's get started.

WOO PIG!
