Brrrr, I figured winter would show itself eventually.
just checked a few minutes ago, they are now saying low will be 3 on Sunday. we are supposed to host a couples church group here on Sunday afternoon. It looks like we may cancel. If we do it will be the 3rd time in 4 months we have had to cancel our monthly get together.

It seems that every time I check the forecast, that low keeps getting lower. Wind chills expected in the negatives. Brrrr

Have to wonder if it will really hit and if so, how hard. Now the prediction is very little snow and not so cold. MY uneducated guess is: we will get more than they say because they have been wrong all winter. Plus hubby is praying for some accumulation so we won't have to go to our church couples gathering tomorrow and he can watch the first playoff game. We could cancel but we are hosting.

We have between 2 and 3" on the ground and still snowing. It's been snowing hard too. Once it started, it was covering the ground within 30 minutes.

We have about an inch or maybe a little more and the streets are completely clear. We are supposed to get a little later this morning. We will see. As for our meeting tomorrow looks like it will be a go. I told hubby he better not hope for more, that could come back to bite him and we might get stuck when we are about to take our cruise in a little over 2 weeks.

That truly is a Wintery Blast you all are getting now! Here in Central Illinois we
got 8" of the white stuff last Saturday, plus 6" last night and this morning. I'm good with snow but hate frigid temps. Right now it's 24F with 35 mph winds bringing wind-chill to single digits. Winds continuing through the night in the 30+ mph range with lows of 0 to 10 below, bringing very frigid wind chills. We are hoping to be sitting with you good folks in the Natural State before next Winter!
Excuse me.... it's time for a hot toddy!

low here is going to hit mid teens and church has been cancelled, so our meeting has as well: that is the policy; hubby is happy. Instead of hosting our couples group with a nice discussion, snacks and wine, we will have waffles for breakfast and even a screw driver
