The Christmas night snowfall (8 inches) was enough to last me til next winter.

We didn't get that one you got, so just looking at todays is fun. If it lasts until tomorrow than I will be with you: onward and upward, spring should be here and the planting season should be around the corner. This is the first real snow we have had since 2011, so I will enjoy it for awhile...

At this moment it is a damp 38 here in The Rock. Had over an inch of rain last night and I'm not complaining. We survived in this no power 40 degree house for three days and two nights Christmas, and we were some of the "lucky" ones.

I can't imagine being without electricity that long. I think we have had about 4o5 hours, once last summer, and that was bad enough. With all the trees here in NWA we feel lucky we haven't be affected, not even in the 2009 ice storm. Fayetteville was, and the cities a little south, but Bella Vista came through with nothing but 4 days of shut in ice...This morning, I don't know the temp, but it is 31 in Fayetteville. They are saying a few flurries this morning, that should be it for now and I am guessing until next winter. Now, we need the rain.

Beware the Ides of March! More often than not, we get a winter weather event in March.

That is not a very nice thing to say!!!

and right now it is snowing here in BV. Hubby is at a breakfast meeting, has an appointment to have the car checked out after the meeting, but our daughter is bringing him home so I don't have to go out, thank goodness.

I dumped 2 inches out of my rain gauge yesterday morning ( Cherokee Village )

I questioned if it was accurate because the creek next to my house wasn't " roaring"

However , the low water bridge at Griffin Park was closed and underwater and the spring river was a lot deeper at Hardy.
