Tell me about Alma area
Looking at moving to the Alma area. Is it feasable to work in Alma and Fayetteville and live somewhere in between?
How about Nursing jobs? What is the going pay for LPN's?

Kind of depends on what you're looking for. Alma is a small town that is growing quite well. They have a new super walmart, walgreens etc. They're lacking on restaurants, but it'll come soon. Have a good school system, low crime etc. As far as in between Alma and Fayetteville it depends on what type of living you're looking for. You'd be living in the country pretty much.

Alma is kind of a yuppie town, but not to the extent of Greenwood. In between Alma and Fayetteville though you will find the real hill country Arkansas is stereotyped for. I would really avoid these areas unless seclusion is what you are looking for, and just pick one side or the other to live on.

Pros:They spend a lot of money on schools, Property taxes are low, Beautiful Ozark foothill land available for home building, Mostly polite people, Close to Fort Smith and Van Buren, Arkansas,
Cons:Most people are very provincial, Mostly fast food joints who can't get an order right, Open bigotry in the schools (kids exposed to N word), teachers also tend to be provincial, Dry county, thin skinned people with little sense of humor, They dislike people from California as much as yankees

Yes it would be feasible to live between Alma and Fayettville and work in both places, are you thinking PRN type work? Living in between would give you a lot of oppurtunitys for this as you could work both the Fort Smith and Fayettville area.
I'd say LPN's can expect between $11.50-$16.00 depending on experience etc. You might be able to make more working PRN.
Edit: PRN means "as needed" for those who don't know

Reason: Realized everyone doesn't know what PRN means
