Husband is taking job on PB arsenal. We bought a house in Rison. It is on 35. Can anyone tell me anything about the area? The house sits back off the road and we have several acres.

While we were at the house there was no traffic. Does it get pretty bad? There is a hunting club close by (deer season only). The trees they hunt in are far away.

Anyways...let me know anything you think is useful. The kids will be going to school in Rison.

I can't tell you much about Rison as it is now but I lived there when I was in elementary school and LOVED it. That was a long time ago but actually I don't think it has changed a whole lot! My dad was principal at the high school and still keeps up with what goes on there and says it has one of the best schools in that area. I would feel good about sending my kid to school there and would move back there in a heartbeat. I hope you'll like it there, to me it would be the perfect place to live and raise a family! Good luck!
