Default Schools in Flippin, AR

Hello,

We are looking at retiring/relocating to a warmer area, where the cost of living is cheaper and we are looking at the Flippin/Mountain Home area. Besides the obvious (being size of town) can anyone give us any insight on these areas. We have a 14 year old and a 10 year old and want to make sure the schools are good as well. My boys are into Soccer, Wrestling and Band. I heard wrestling just made it into schools in AR and Mountain Home HS is one, but Flippin is not. Would love input, especially about schools.
Thanks.

Hey, I wish I had more current info for you but I'll give you what I have. I went to school in a town in the same athletic district as Flippin about 20 years ago. Back then, Flippin had a good band. They hosted a regional all day band clinic and concert for the top chairs in several schools in that district one year.

Yes, wrestling was just approved by the state athletic board as a varsity sport. I would doubt that Flippin would add a program any time soon unless you volunteered to coach it gratis.

As I said...I wish I had more up to date info for you. I hope this is at least helpful to start off with. Perhaps you should contact the schools directly and see what they're doing in these areas.
