Interacial Couples and Siloam Springs
Hello all! I'm a 24-year old black male with a white/Cherokee wife, and we're considering moving to Siloam Springs. I lived in Springdale for 2 years and we moved to Central Arkansas together a year ago. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and people are a lot different, and we both miss NWA. Siloam Springs is close to her family and friends, and I've had a few decent job offers. Unfortunately, I've also heard mixed messages about the reception we may receive.
I'm a network engineer and I worked for a company that sent me to Siloam frequently, and I made some great friends at places like Wasson Funeral Home and a wonderful flower shop whose name slips me. But now I'm curious as to whether that is the overall atmosphere, or the exception to the rule.
So here's the main question: Will a young interacial couple have any trouble in Siloam Springs?

My step-daughter and her family live in Siloam Springs, and love it! IMO there would be no problem with acceptance of an interracial couple. Couples such as you and your wife are a common occurrence anymore.

I am sure you will be fine, of course there are always jerks out there that are living in the past, but, for the most part I think people will be just fine with your relationship..Good luck.
