$1.95 a Gallon Gasoline in Bentonville
Gas was only $1.95/Gallon at the Bentonville Walmart/Murphy Oil this afternoon (Oct.31, 2008). I think this might be the lowest price in America.

And my kids laughed at me when I said, a couple of months ago, eventually gas may get back down below $2.00. Of course I laughed at myself as well.

Actually, it's 1.81 in parts of the Kansas City area.
I'm very glad it's getting below $2 just about everywhere, though. I never thought I'd see that day again.
Maybe we'll get below $1 before long. Any more than that just seems ridiculous for a gallon of liquid that doesn't really do much.

It's $2.05 in Hot Springs (on the average) as of last night! In my small town of Mount Ida it is $2.39 as of yesterday...sad!!

Still 2.47 here in my small town in Louisiana....as of yesterday at 5 p.m., that is...it has been changing daily, and I haven't been out and about today. I really never thought it would get below $2/gallon ever again. But I remember when I thought even 1.85 was an obscene price to pay....that was a couple of summers ago when we were on our way to the cabin. I remember thinking, "if gas stays this high, we won't be able to afford to keep going to the cabin three times a year." *sigh* The good old days.

Can anyone report on what it is in Russellville at the Pilot and the Flying J? That's where we always buy gas on the way to the cabin.

I wish the price of gas was the same in California! I'm just happy because it just recently went under $3.

NOPE. It will likely never be under $1 again. OPEC will likely cut production to drive up prices, and global economic growth will ramp up again shortly.
