Default Advice needed: Lake Village

I'm a physical therapy student who will be in Lake Village from 4/2/7 - 5/11/7 for a clinical internship. I need a cheap, safe place to stay. Any suggestions?

Default Lake Village

May not be much of a help. Lake Village is a fishersman's town. If you are pulling a trailer or have a camper truck, there is a state park and a city park.
There was a motel (Best Western??) that was pretty nice. You might can negotiate a lower longer stay price. Otherwise, we went across the bridge (Mississippi River) to Greenville MS and had several nice motels from which to choose (again you could probably negotiate with them) and commute. Greenville has some Casinos. I believe your choice may be limited unless the place where you are doing your internship has or can make accommodations for you.

Spent many nights in the Ramada at Lake Village. Trust me thats the only place you care to stay in that town. Go to Greenville, MS and you will find some decent places to rent as well as more hotel choices.

You must eat at the Cow Pin Steakhouse while you're in the area! It's on the right, just before crossing the bridge into Mississippi. Trust me!! You won't regret it.

Hey. I am a nurse in town. Please read this/ The Ramada Inn is okay to stay in if you want to be in town. It is like a mile from the hospital. It is right beside McDonalds. Be careful. Lock your car doors anywhere. The other place that i really recommend is the Lakeshore Motel. It is about 8 miles from town in the lake. It is quiet and you can relax while your there. There is a cafe right beside it where you can order food. That would be a nice clean place to stay. Hope it works out
