Fayetteville...where singles live?
Hi everyone! I am a 26 year old female that will be moving to NW Arkansas in a few months for a new job in Springdale. I am single without children and would like to be in an area with other young single professionals. I hear that Fayetteville is where I should live. I am looking to spend $180,000-$240,000 on my first house. Is there a particular area or subdivision that you would recommend?

So you're 26, single, female, without children and can afford a 200K dollar house? Uh, want to have coffee sometime? I'm 23, male, single, without children, broke college student still living with his parents because grad school would eat him dry otherwise. Very appealing, I know.
Hahaha, just kidding, but seriously, Northwest Arkansas is a great place to meet singles i'd bet, but I'm not sure if you're going to run into a lot of single people that can afford a house (or even want to clean it, haha) by themselves. Apartments are more likely. I'd hit the local hangouts if I were you.

I agree, I think a condo near downtown or Dickson would be best. A 2 bed/2bath should fit your bill. I do have to warn you beforehand that singles may come in 18-24 y/o like Mr. Shamrock.

There are a few of us singles over 25 around. You definitely want to be in Fayetteville although Bentonville seems to have a growing singles population thanks to Walmart. Granted the majority of singles in the area are younger thanks to the university.
You will be able to pretty much move anywhere in the area you like with that kind of money for a house. There is not really a singles area of town to live but if you're into nightlife and want to be near it then I would suggest looking for a place off Dickson or in the Wilson Park area.

Haha, considering I was joking/being sarcastic, I wouldn't know.

I appreciate all of the comments. I am more interested in buying a house because I've been living in apartments for the past 6 years. It would be nice to own and not have to worry as much about noisy neighbors. Thanks for the advice. I can't wait to move!
